We have had very good luck pressing flowers to use in and on our handmade papers. We use the Micro fleur to dry flowers in the microwave. It has 2 vented plastic "platens", 2 pads and 2 fabric sheets and clips to hold
them together. It comes in two sizes. Most flowers and leaves we’ve tried work very well and keep their color if picked at their peak. Place them flat on the fabric sheet, trimming the backs of the flowers if needed so they will lie as flat as possible, then layer the fabric
sheets, the felt pads and then the vented plastic cover (platen) and hold in place with the clips. Times in your microwave vary, the newer ones taking less time than older models. It is better to use several short bursts of time rather than setting the microwave for longer periods of time so you can check as you go along and avoid scorching. Pansies, geraniums, larkspurs, and cosmos give beautiful results as do most flowers. Even zinnias and gerbera daisies can be pressed in the Micro fleur!
